Competences: Patient navigation, oncology support innovation, psychosocial care, inclusive digital health
Kapa3 (Cancer Guidance Center) is a Greek non-profit organisation established in 2020 with the mission of improving the cancer journey for patients, caregivers and families through integrated, person-centred support. Operating at the intersection of social care, patient empowerment and digital health, Kapa3 addresses practical, psychosocial and systemic barriers that affect access to timely and equitable cancer care.
The organisation provides patient navigation services, rights-based information and guidance, psychosocial support, caregiver assistance and community-based interventions designed to reduce the burden associated with cancer diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. Through direct service delivery and collaboration with public institutions, healthcare providers, local authorities and civil society actors, Kapa3 contributes to more coordinated and inclusive support pathways for people affected by cancer.
In parallel, Kapa3 invests in innovation-driven responses to unmet patient needs. Its work in digital health includes the development of technology-enabled tools that facilitate access to reliable information, strengthen self-management capacities and support more responsive care navigation. This strategic direction is reflected in initiatives such as MYRTO, an AI-enabled digital social assistant for oncology support, developed to enhance guidance, accessibility and continuity of support for patients and caregivers.
By combining lived experience, measurable social impact and innovation-oriented practice, Kapa3 represents a growing model of integrated cancer support in Greece. The organisation seeks to contribute actively to European collaboration in the fields of cancer care, patient advocacy, psychosocial support, digital transformation and health equity.
