Distortions Persist – Which Reforms Do We Need?

Persistent structural distortions in the Greek medical technology market continue to affect both the sustainability of the sector and the efficiency of healthcare delivery. Key challenges include procurement inefficiencies, reimbursement mechanisms, HTA implementation gaps, hospital debt and broader financing constraints within the health system.

These critical issues will be at the centre of discussion at the MedTech Conference 2026 #mtco26, taking place on 13 July 2026, organised by ethosEVENTS in collaboration with the health policy magazine "Pharma & Health Business" and the health information portal "virus.com.gr".

The conference will bring together policymakers, healthcare providers, patient representatives, clinicians, and industry stakeholders to discuss reform priorities in the Greek medical technology ecosystem.
